Stuart Hall School Transportation
Our students come from all over Virginia and the world. Transportation is an important service we provide to make the commute simpler for families. Whether that means taking a bus as a day student from nearby Waynesboro, Virginia, or taking a shuttle from Dulles International Airport after a long flight as a boarding student, we hope to meet your transportation needs. To do so, we’ve provided several options for both day and boarding students.
Day Student Transportation
Day students who live in the surrounding area can take advantage of bus routes from Harrisonburg, Lexington, and Waynesboro. Our routes run to and from the Lower School and Middle/Upper School campuses, and a shuttle in between the two makes it easy for siblings of different ages to ride to and from school together. Our bus stops are in safe, public locations that are easily accessible to parents for drop-off and pick-up, and our bus fleet includes up-to-date mini buses that are comfortable for the rides to and from school. Our drivers are caring and compassionate individuals who see students safely to their destinations and whose record of service is impeccable.
Day student transportation is provided at a fee, which varies by route and frequency of travel. Routes are also determined by the geography of our families from year-to-year. Please inquire about stops close to your home. All transportation is managed by our Facilities Director.

Boarding Student Transportation
Transportation for boarding students is also available at the start and close of every school semester before and after major holidays and school breaks. Shuttles are scheduled on an as-needed basis but typically run to and from Washington Dulles International Airport, Shenandoah Regional Airport, and Charlottesville Airport. Private taxis and sedans to major airports can also be arranged through the school.
Transportation for boarding students is also available by Amtrak train, which is walking distance to campus. For more information about transportation for boarding students, please contact Katherine Meier, our Residence Life Director.
