Meet Our Coaches
Jayden Beasley, Head Volleyball Coach
Jayden Beasley is a 2018 graduate of Fort Defiance High School in Fort Defiance, VA. She is an accomplished volley player including:
- VHSL Region 3C Player of the Year 2017
- 1st team all district 2017-18
- Record holder for career blocks at Fort Defiance HS
- 2017-18 Team Captain
Jayden coached Fort Defiance High School’s JV team to a 25-0 record in 2020, the best in the school’s history. She has also coached a 16u Junior Olympics team for the past 4 years. Jayden is currently seeking a degree in Physical Therapy.
David Baker, Head Cross Country Coach
David Baker enters his 5th year of coaching cross-country and track & field. With experience at all levels, from middle school to university, Baker has guided teams to league championships and has helped lead many runners to reach top honors, including a Division III national champion in the 3,000m steeplechase.
As a distance runner, Baker has Division III university experience and still holds high school records in the 2-mile (9:46) and other running events. His coaching philosophy centers around inspirational team unity with an emphasis on how athletics benefit academics. David is a practicing artist and holds a M.F.A. in Visual Art from Washington University in St. Louis and a B.F.A. from Ohio University. He is on the faculty at Stuart Hall, teaching Upper School art classes.
hannah barry, Head soccer Coach
Hannah graduated from Franklin and Marshall College in 2014 with a degree in environmental studies. At F&M she was a member of the diplomat women’s soccer team for three seasons where she played in goal. After graduation Hannah moved to Boston, MA and worked at Chapel Hill Chauncy Hall School for one year and then at Dexter Southfield School for six years. She has been the head coach for the Dexter Southfield middle school girls’ soccer team for the past five years and has been an assistant coach for both the girls’ and boys’ varsity teams. In addition to soccer Hannah has also coached basketball, ultimate frisbee, and crew. At Stuart Hall she is an Upper School science teacher and dorm parent. Hannah enjoys playing soccer, hiking, and cooking in her free time.
