Governance

Two important bodies oversee Stuart Hall School’s day-to-day leadership and finances. The Board of Governors manages the Head of School, sets the mission, vision, and strategic goals, and monitors the School's budget and tuition rates. The Foundation Board of Trustees manages the School's endowment and property. 

Trustees and governors work in partnership with the officers of Church Schools in the Diocese of Virginia (CSDV). This nonprofit organization owns and operates six schools, including Stuart Hall, and employs each school's faculty and staff. CSDV focuses its efforts on leveraging the collective scale of the schools to deliver value to each with common vendors and on ensuring legal compliance, risk mitigation, strong governance and maximizing potential at each school. Members of the schools' Boards of Governors are appointed by the Chair of the Trustees of CSDV and approved by the Bishop of the Episcopal Diocese of Virginia.
