"My primary goal in teaching is to have students think critically about the issues facing their world. This requires a deep understanding of history and the events currently shaping the world. I accomplish this goal through the reading and discussion of significant documents spanning history, government, and philosophy. From the trial transcript of Anne Hutchinson to recent Supreme Court opinions to the dialogues of Plato, my students engage the challenging ideas that will enable them to excel in a dynamic and ever-changing world."
