Meet our Coach:

Who's leading the team?

Ultimate is being coached by Hunter Murray who has been playing the game competitively since 8th grade at his high school. He went on to play for Mississippi State University where he earned rookie of the year in the SEC division as a freshman. He went on to earn 3rd and then 1st team all section player recognition by the time he was a senior. He captained the MS State team his junior and senior year. Hunter then went on to coach Ultimate at the University of Mississippi for two years where they reached regional qualifiers both years. Outside of college competitive play, Hunter also competed with several traveling club teams both in the men's division and in the mixed club levels. After becoming a teacher back in Mississippi he began building high school teams in the area to grow the sport. Many of those high school teams now travel and compete in the southeast. When Hunter first arrived at Stuart Hall, he would often play pickup games with the boarders on the weekends. That has grown, now, into a team that is training intensely to learn a myriad of strategies on both offense and defense. Coach Murray implements high standards and respect for all and from all his players. They leave every practice exhausted but better than when they arrived.
