Meet Our Coach: Jonathan Woods
Jonathan Woods is the girls' basketball coach at Stuart Hall School. Having coached various teams at different levels, Woods understands what it takes to build a winning program. His experience provides valuable insights to the players, and his primary focus is to develop both skills and confidence on the court.
He is deeply inspired by a coaching philosophy that emphasizes discipline, teamwork, and hard work, a foundation laid by his own high school coach, Paul Hatcher, one of the most successful coaches in Virginia High School League (VHSL) history. Stuart Hall girls' basketball benefits from the high expectations that come with Woods’ playing experience as a former two-time varsity letterman and first team all-district player.
Woods’ track record in coaching various grade levels in AAU shows his ability to connect with players of different ages and skill levels. Having coached both girls and boys teams, his depth of experience allows him to tailor his coaching style to suit the each player on the Stuart Hall team, ensuring that they feel valued and empowered.
