All Stuart Hall School alumnae and alumni are considered part of the Alumni Association. Stuart Hall alumni are distinctive for their involvement in the life of the school. They serve on the Board of Governors and Foundation Board, and some have returned to the community as staff and faculty. In addition, they maintain a very active and engaged Alumni Council. A multitalented group, our Stuart Hall alumni continue to strongly support the Mission of the School.
Stuart Hall has a tradition of strong financial support from its alumni. In fact, alumni comprise 44% of all Annual Fund donors. Strong alumni participation in the Annual Fund has been key to the School’s ability to attract support from foundations and other major donors.
Stuart Hall received its charter from the Commonwealth of Virginia in 1844 and has enjoyed the support of its alumni for 170 years. Their devotion to the School and endurance of their Stuart Hall connections and friendships are inspiring. The lives of our alumni are a testament to the success of the School’s mission of preparing its students for engaged, healthy lives of intellectual curiosity, responsible citizenship, creative expression, ethical leadership, and compassionate service.
